Okay, that is probably the most dramatic thing I've ever written. I did not get hit by a car, well kinda. Basically, we were walking on the side of the road and a parked car started backing up and backed into me but it was super slow and barely touched me. I just started laughing and ran away. Idk why I'm so awkward in situations like that but whatever. I have to laugh at my life rn. Like also......, I had a war with some street dogs this week. We were walking down an almost pitch black ally, and all of a sudden 20 dogs just started attacking us. Picture me holding a rolled-up yoga mat ready to swing and hna Melendez with an opened umbrella shielding us. Seriously this could have been a scene in a Marvel movie it was so intense. Like what is my life rn HAHA #livelaughlovemexico
Okay, this is so sad and I'm sorry to say it but the family Soto de la Vara didn't get baptized. Ik crying. But it's all going to be okay because God has a perfect plan and clearly it just isn't their time yet and that's okay. The dad needs a little more time to prepare and the family wants to get baptized all together. Trusting God's plan and accepting my best efforts. The day they do get baptized will be such a special day and I'll be cheering them on from the border.... that's right, I'm getting transferred to NOGALES!!!!!!!! the literal border lol (if you wanna come to visit me text me and we can meet up at the fence HAHAHHA kidding. kinda.)
My amazing five months here in Misiones Hermosillo have come to an end, and I'm torn with emotion. I'm sad to leave because I've really made this place a home, but I also know I've gotten so comfortable here, and that means it's time for change. Change is what leads to growth, so I'm excited to get uncomfortable again to push myself to be better. Make Nogales my new home.
Leaving Hna Melendez tho is like saying goodbye to Tay my older sis all over again seriously couldn't have asked for a better comp. I might even miss the noises she'd make while eating. Girl could munch. HAHA no but seriously love her to death and am a little scared for this next adventure but I know in the end I'll be like "Sophie why did you even worry". I lowkey hated Misiones at first too so honestly anything is possible.
Melissa if you're reading this I LOVE YOU and will see you so soon at your and Sergio's wedding post mish looking forward to the reunion already. ALSO, go through the temple!!!!!! It'll change ur life!
