Hello Readers,
BAPTIZED 3 OF OUR FRIENDSSSSSS!
First was a 14-year-old girl named Naomi who is friends with all our coverts in the canoas. So it was easy to get her to church... she was one of the 9 smashed in the car with all the boys last week for church. We got her parents' signature this week, taught the lessons, and bam, baptized! None of her family came but all the boys did.
Then there's sweet Angel who is the most precious 8-year-old little boy who we also met last week. and taught everything to him on Saturday, and he was baptized Sunday!!

I love how quick kids are to trust the plan of God. Angel lives with his aunt on the weekdays and his mom and dad on the weekends because of issues regarding their ability to care for him. So, being able to help him and his family a little just by making this covenant with God was so special. You can tell his soul is clinging to it. I distinctly remember saying a prayer with him and hearing the grandma whispering "thank you God, thank you for sending the hermanas, thank you God, thank you God" over and over. I'll never forget that prayer.

The third was Angel's mom, Riena. She is also very sweet and easily accepted the gospel. Pray for her and her husband, tho. It was honestly a miracle that we got her out of bed for this baptism. The poor girl works night shifts every day, so she sleeps during the day. We did get the husband to come... also a struggle... he's just the fattest drunk. Like everyone has worth in the eyes of God, I know, but seriously? Anyways, he came, and when it got close to ending, he turned to me and asked when it would be over, and I said, "Soon, after this prayer," and he goes, "ugh thank goodness". I just started dying laughing, and all the boys behind me. Like I don't think he said one word other than complaining the whole time. Anyways, that kinda describes the dad for ya.

- Aaron said, "Hermanas, you need to come to my house and teach me something new this week." What kind of 15-year-old boy says that? Also, literally, while he has a mop in his hand and is cleaning up the water from the baptism, which no one asked him to do. Straight to heaven.
- The elders filled the font with buckets because, for the second Sunday in a row, we haven't had water in the church. Thanks boys!
Lowkey struggled this week to stay focused because shout-out to Jade who got married, Chloe and Stells birthdays!!!!! AND MY QUEEN TESSA ENGAGED!!
Halfway, tho, which is crazy!! Be back soon, girls.

Lots of love,
Hermana Steuer
